Mugove is a desktop app. Your financial data lives in a database file on your own computer and goes nowhere else. We do not have servers that store your data, we do not require an account, and we do not track how you use the app. Mugove is free, so there is no checkout and no payment information for anyone to collect.
Mugove is a free personal finance application. References to "we," "us," and "our" in this policy refer to the individuals and entity behind Mugove. References to "you" refer to anyone who visits this website or uses the Mugove application.
Mugove is designed from the ground up to be offline-first and private. The application stores all of your financial data in a single SQLite database file located on your computer at:

Mugove does not connect to any external server to sync, back up, analyze, or transmit your data. It has no telemetry, no crash reporting service, no usage analytics, and no feature flags that phone home. Once installed, the app functions entirely without an internet connection.
We have no ability to access, view, or recover your financial data because it never reaches us. If you delete the database file, the data is gone permanently.
This marketing website (mugove.app or wherever it is hosted) is a static HTML page. It does not set cookies, does not load advertising scripts, does not use tracking pixels, and does not run analytics by default.
If you visit this site, standard server access logs may be kept by the hosting provider (such as your IP address and the pages requested). We do not use these logs to identify or profile individual visitors, and they are not shared with third parties outside of what your hosting provider requires for operation.
Nothing. Mugove is free to download from this website. There is no checkout, no account, and no email address to enter. Downloads from this site are served directly and are not tied to you in any way beyond the standard server access logs described above.
Mugove is also available on the App Store. Apple handles those installs under the Apple Privacy Policy. Apple does not share your identity with us, and we receive no personal information about who installs the app.
If you write to us through the contact form or by email, we keep your email address only to reply to you. We do not sell, rent, or trade it, and we will not add you to any marketing list without your explicit consent.
Mugove itself integrates with no third-party services. If you install it from the App Store, Apple handles the download and updates. There are no advertising networks, social media tracking pixels, analytics SDKs, or data brokers involved in any part of this product.
Google Fonts is loaded on this website for typography. Google may log the font request, which includes your IP address. If you prefer, the site remains fully readable without Google Fonts since it falls back to system fonts.
Because your data lives exclusively on your own hardware, you are responsible for keeping it
safe. We recommend backing up your database file regularly. Mugove cannot recover your data
if your device is lost, damaged, or reset. A simple copy of the
mugove.db file to an external drive or cloud storage of your choosing is
sufficient.
Mugove is not directed at children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect any personal information from children. If you believe a child has submitted personal information through our contact form, please contact us and we will delete it promptly.
If we make material changes to this policy, we will update the effective date at the top of this page. We will not retroactively reduce the privacy protections described here for existing users without clear notice. Because we do not have your contact details by default, checking this page periodically is the best way to stay informed.
